The base of Oregon Wheat Growers League work is its policy priorities. Grower members propose policy
resolutions that are vetted by the board and approved by the membership at the annual
meeting. These policies then direct the efforts of the League board and
staff throughout the year. Priorities focus on:
- Environment and Regulations
- Research and Technology
- Farm Programs
- Markets
- Transportation
- Public Education and Other
The current policies were adopted by the membership at the annual meeting held November 15, 2023.
The draft 2025 policies were reviewed by the League Board of Directors in September, with a recommendation to the membership for adoption. Policy adoption will occur at the Oregon Annual Meeting on
November 20, 2024 in conjunction with the Tri-State Grain Convention in Coeur d'Alene, ID.
