American Red Cross CPR / First Aid and Farm Safety Trainings this Winter
Are your prepared to deal with a serious accident on your farm? This training will cover important first aid skills to respond to farm accidents and common hazards on the farm that can be safely mitigated. Oregon OSHA Heat Illness Prevention rules and required training will also be briefly covered. Course instructor, Jacob Powell, is an OSU Extension Ag Faculty and is a Wilderness First Responder and certified CPR / First Aid Instructor for American Red Cross.Class costs $60 per person paid by cash or check at the door. Training will cover:
- Hands on training to respond to accidents on the farm, including amputations, impaled objects, severe bleeding, and CPR
- Farm safety considerations for tractors, ATVs, equipment, and powerlines
- Oregon OSHA Heat Illness Prevention rules and required training requirements
- Classes in Spanish will be taught with an experienced Spanish interpreter
American Red Cross Certificates will be provided to participants and are good for 2 years
